     Right now Ms. Nakada is telling the class to take out their English notebook, so we can do our English scores. I didn't know that nanowrimo was worth 100 points. The total number of points that we could have earned in the class are 850. Right now some people are passing back some work that we just did so we can put it in our English notebook. Victor and I told Justin that Stephen Curry was being traded to the Clippers he believed us, but Victor then told him that it was Stephen Jackson. Justin said that he is gullible. After we did our English scores we moved into our Shakespeare companies. For our Shakespeare companies we have to read act 3 scene 1. Well, I have to go with my company, so bye.

Hey guys. Right now Ms.Nakada just told everyone to take out their notebook and she explained to them what we did yesterday. Now she's showing us a video about what we read yesterday. Theseus told Hermia that either she becomes a Nun, marries Demetries, or she dies. I don't know who it was but someone just burped. I don't know if it was on purpose or on accident. Since know one knows who is putting on the play she's writing it down for us. Ms. Nakada is just explaining that Act 2 is where they all go into the woods. In Act 2 is where we meet the Fairies. Almost the whole class just guessed that Demetruis was the one speaking to Hermia telling her he doesn't love her . Ms. Nakada just explained what Oberon's plan was . He wants to put  the flower nectar on Titania's eyes so she will give him the Indian Child that he wants so badly.

Hey guys, it's Amore and this is my second blog. Im enjoying it already! Haha. Well right now Mrs. Nakada is asking for our word count one by one on our Nanowrimo prep. We all just found out that Roque's goal is fifteen thousand words, thats a lot. I just looked up at the bored and i seen the Nanowrimo Countdown and it says that we only have 26 more days left to write the novel. Mostly everyone has started their novels, a few haven't well guess that means they will have to start and catch up! I have started my novel , a lot of them are pretty interesting! Especially Kaylah cause you know she's just that awesome! Now Mrs. Nakada is kind of getting annoyed by the people who keep repeatidly talking when other people are trying to work, Mrs. Nakada jus said her favorite saying "Guys seriously Stop TALKING." Now they are amazingly quiet! Right now the whole class is about to do a word war for 3 minutes and who ever wins gets candy. Well i had fun, hope to write this blog again. Hey my name is Chris. So, Ms. Nakada plaued us the message that is going home to our parents because something happened in the morning. So, now half of the class stood up and started tossing a rubber duck around the class and reading lines from A Midsummer. Ms. Nakada is counting down how long they take on saying their throwing cards. They took 4 mins on saying all their sentences that are on their cards. Justin and Victor started arguing because Victor wanted the duck lol :) Then the second side of the class the other side because the did there cards in 2 mins. So, I'm tired and I wanna go home :(

Then Ms. Nakada gave the class examples of things that have inspired us and she talked about songs. Then we turned to a page named "Good Book, Bad Book." She also told us we had to come up with at least 3 books that we thought were good. Three of her examples were Holes, The Book Thief, and The House at Mango Street.  We had to also list what we liked about the book. Ms. Nakada likes a compelling book that makes you wanna keep reading. Then we looked at the Character Questionaire and started developing characters for our novels.

Hey this is Yvette. We started the day with Ruben being late and ms.Nakada told him that if Roque came before he did that it would be a problem but Roque took it the wrong way. Victor started reading his blog and he did a good job at it. Yesterday, Ms. Nakada was teaching the class about how to write a poem and we learned about a poem called "Aristotle" By Billy Collins. He wrote about the beginning, middle, and end. Today is Tuesday so we get out early! :D YAY! ms.nakada was teaching the class on how to make a novel she gave us a brown paper that gave us instructions of how to make a novel. Ms. Nakada just told Roque that she would never invite him to her wedding. xD But it actually wouldn't matter. I think teachers can't invite students to party's .-. Ms. Nakada was talking about how if we wrote 10,000 words it'd be an A. Her Honors class has to write 20,000 words. :O. Well, it's  time for us to leave. Hope you have a great day BYE! :D

Today, Ms.Nakada told everyone that they're gonna do the Socratic Seminar. Then she told everyone to be prepared, follow guidelines, pose questions, build on other's comments, and acknowledge new learning. Now Ms.Nakada is telling everyone to pose a question and follow the guidelines. After, Ms. Nakada told everyone that they were stressing her out. Then Ms.Nakada said, 'Don't say yes or no because that's not part of the dialogue! Now Efren is telling everyone if they have someone that is truly gold. Efren is making it like a court. After, Ms. Nakada said that everyone is gold and that they have a bright future and some other stuff but I forgot. Then, when they were all done they switched sides for their turn.

                Heyyy guys it's Janiya. Daniel read his blog and picked me so here goes. Right now the class  is typing their paragraphs and some of them are reading books like Lilly is. Some people are very noisy in here. Just now someone was bugging me for a dollar... :| that was so random lol. So guys   I'm reading a book called Confessions of a Murder Suspect it's about a girl trying to find out if she killed her parents or not. It's a cool book. I'm looking at Ms. Nakada's pictures of her and other students on her board haha one of them is a picture of Mr. Hastings dressed as a chicken in a dress xD. Now the class is starting to take notes on writing responses to literature. Ms. Nakada was just talking about how the response should show understanding of a text. Well it's time for me to leave. The day started with John reading his blog and Ms. Nakada asked john to pick some one to do the blog and he picked me. Ms. Nakada asked the class to take out their grammar notes and everybody took their notes out. She told every one in the class to write the sentence correctly so Efren came up and fixed the sentence Ms. Nakada wrote. The sentence she wrote was: We have drunk all of the soda, Erik, but Father will buy more for us kids. She asked every one to look at the editor submission form she asked the whole class to write their name and period. Ms. Nakada asked eveyone to write down on the subission form: 8 sentence perfect paragraph. Ms. Nakada asked Yvette why she is asking us to write this down. Ms. Nakada said to write in present tense and she said not to write I. Jennifer just passed and said, "Sup, Daniel." Yvette stepped out to print her paper. Everybody is almost done with The Outsiders paragraph. The bell is about to ring so by.

Hi, my name Ayla and this my first blog. First, Ruben read his blog and then Ms. Nakada is talking about the elements of plot in the book The Outsiders. They are talking about the first thing that happen in the book which is the inciting incident. Ms. Nakada is showing a picture of a coaster and they are talking about the back story.

Now we going to take notes for banned book week. They are talking about some people who don't like books, but Ms. Nakada says you still have to read the book. Ms. Nakada passes out a paper with titles challenged 2004-2011. They are looking for banned books that they've read and they said The Outsiders is a banned book. Some people want to read Hoot.

They are taking notes about The Outsiders book v. movie. Well, got to go bye.

We got new seats and then Efren read Edward's blog. Ms. Nakada past out a paper about PSAT and then they were talking about it. Ms. Nakada said she likes to be perfect. Kameron walks in from science class. I just found out that the PSAT has three subjects. Then Ms. Nakada passed out our tests back. People left the classroom to finish or take the test. I just got my test and I got a 38 out of 40. Then we are doing test corrections. Right now I'm just hearing them talk. I don't know what to write. Ms. Nakada is showing us the perfect paragraph. Kameron left the room. We are about to leave in 8 minutes. I have to go so BYE!!!!!!!!

The day started off with Efren picking me to do the blog wich was not fair because he had to pick a girl. Justin has been telling everyone who is doing the blog to pick me because he is jealous that I didn't go yet. We are now waching The Outsiders and Johnny just died. He told ponyboy to stay gold and then Dally ran out of the hospital. Dally went to a grocery sore and robbed it. He was bing chased by the police and then they shot him. Pony is reading Gone With the Wind and finds a letter written by Johnny. He tells Pony to tell Dally that it was worth saving those kids, but it is top late to tell Dally. Ponyboy is writing an essay and starts it off how the book stared then it finished. We are now talking about how the movie and the book are the same.

Ms.Nakada told everyone to take out their notes.we are also add words to our personal spelling list and add grammar and sees, seas, seize, and See's. I know almost all of the words we went over. Now we open to our grmmar secticon. Alex called gemmia gemmiammm and Ms. Nakada thought that they were making fun of her name and Eladio said that she also made fun of her name, but she now gets it right. The bell is about to ring and got to go, so bye.

                              Today when we started class and Gemima read her blog to the class. It was pretty good. Then we started to watch the movie. So far Pony and Johnny are at the church and Johnny left to get supplies. He brought bread, baloney, cards, cigarettes, and peroxide. Then Pony got a letter from soda. Later on Dally comes by and takes them to a place called "Dairy Queen."Then Dally tells them about Cherry being their spy. When they arrive at the church it is on fire. Johnny and Pony go to save the kids then a ledge falls on Johnny's back. When pony gets home he finds out about him going to court. Two-bits decides to babysit Pony and then Randy the soc talks to pony. After they go to see Johnny and Dally. Johnny doesn't look so great but Dally is looking pretty good. The greasers win the rumble. The bell is about to ring. BBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!

        Alex picked me to do the blog. Today is a minimum day and it's Friday so today is a good day! :) Well, we're watching the outsiders movie I've watched it like 3 times already so it's my 4th time watching it. Well, in the movie Bob is yelling at Cherry because she's with  some greasers. Johnny and Ponyboy fall asleep in the lot and Pony was dreaming of when his parents died in a car accident. When Pony got home Darry screamed and hit him. Johnny kills Bob because they were drowning Pony. The bell is about to ring in 2 minutes so bye.

I have NO idea what to type... but whatever. The office called and Edward's Leaving.
The Outsiders is a story of the last Few weeks of his life...S.E. Hinton wrote The Outsiders. When she was 16. Sodapop Is ACTUALLY SMART when he's being serious...Ms. Nakada said that being gold is like we are young and stuff and we are not old (jaded, she said). We are doing page 12( Step Up to Writing). Ms. Nakada just did the page backwards so she has to start over. She says she's not THAT much of a perfectionist (nist?) THE CLASS IS BEING LOUD!!!!Ms. Nakada says that a thesis's (My Typing Sucks today) takes up to like 3-4 Years (Nooooooo). 



Chris is going to the bathroom and he has to write his name on the board. Ms.Nakada says we can put Sexy or Shmexy Or Smexy Or Hawt. Ponyboy won't tell anything about Steve to us!!!!! >:( I hate Pony. He's LAAAAMEEEE! Darry Is the Oldest And Tuff Or Tough Like CHUCK NORRIS!!!!! He is Responsible And In charge (Not Chuck Norris :/ ) Soda pop is "Hawt" they people are saying. Ms.Nakada Wants us to write a 8 Sentence Purrrrfect :3 Paragraph. I just Found a Pen...It Works..And Im Typing Random things and Adding Caps On Basic Words that im not Supposed to put it on like This One Right Here<---- Seeee??? There's an after school Talking Box thing on da wall and they want us to tell are parents where to go. I MUST STALL THEM!!!!! THIS BLOG IS TOO LONG!!!! Class Is Ovah in 2 mintute. BYE!

So, the day started and Nyjah picked me. I was kinda mad because I did not want to do the blog but it's okay. We started by doing our English scores. Every body was confused on what their grade was. Then Ms. Nakada told the class to take out a blank piece of paper so we could make a letter to home. Then Ms. Nakada gave us the directions, so the class started to write their letter. It was kinda noisy in the beginning but then it got quiet and people started to get to work. Then we put our folders at the aisle and the bell rang. bbbbbbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Hi, everyone. I really don't know what to say because I've never done this before.So right now Ms.nakada is asking everybody if they finished the outsiders book. I think The Outsiders book is an ok book. I'd rather watch the movie than read the book. I'm really bored right now. I'm trying to find something good to write about but it's not working. Now Ms. Nakada is checking everyone's reading journal. I guess it's ok if you think my blog is boring because I'm not really writing about anything. Well, now everyone is reading. I wish I was doing that right now because I'm not really good at this blog thing as you can see. I can't wait to see what the next book is about maybe I will be more interested. I'm getting kind of tired. I'm just ready for this day to be over with because it's 6th period on a Friday and i just wanna go home and sleep all day. I'm kind of glad i got writing this blog thing over with.Everyones taking out there outsiders notes.Well my blog wasnt really much. I'm finished writing, I guess. Jennifer was reading her blog. When she finished the blog she picked me. Ms. Nakada told us that we had to take out The Outsider's notes. Also, she said that if anyone finished their reading journal for  3.1 -3.3 to show her. Everyone is taking notes. Ms. Nakada told everyone if they any text question/thinking question for The Outsiders notes. We wrote about why Johnny, Pony and Dally are at the hospital and if things are tough all over. Now, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our table of contents. We made another Outsiders notes page for chapter 9-12 and this is going to be our last notes for The Outsiders. In The Outsider the greasers won the rumble. Ms. Nakada told us to take out The Outsiders and we read the end of chapter 9 where Johnny tells Ponyboy to stay gold. We have to finish reading The Outsiders by Friday. Then, Ms. Nakada said to take out our grammar notes. The bell rang  and everyone started to pack up. peace

Ight, Ms. Nakada has started teaching the class. She began talking about what had happened in the Outsiders book. I'm exhausted , im just chilling in the room next to the fan xD, thass wassup lol xD. Anyways, Ms. Nakada is reading The Outsiders book, which is a really good book! Most of the students in our classroom are pretty excited about what's going to happen next but it's pretty quiet in here ;p. Eladio began reading the book, pretty impressed that he would actually ready! :) I noticed I was pretty behind , on what was going on inside the book :/ but I'm gonna make sure I catch up (: . Anyways, Ms. Nakada talks about how the sunset looks when it goes down  "It has been beautiful " she said. It's been a pretty good day.

We start grammar notes and Ms. Nakada talks about how different a noun is from a proper noun . Omg, I just saw Sheldon like a few seconds ago xD ! Well anyways , Ms. Nakada was telling him that if he sees Alex to make sure hes goes to class x'D Well the class is being dismissed ;) , finally schools over xD ! Hey my name is Chris. What were doing today in class is talking about our writing process. Ms.Nakada tryed fixing the fan but it didnt work lol. Shes talking about facebook on how we publish comments and pictures on facebook. Then we start talking about the outsiders book. About how Darry starts crying for Johnny and he never crys:( Then Ms.Nakada tells roque what happens in chapter 7 and he didnt know. Ms.Nakada tells Jenny if she could see her notes from chapert 1-4 and she gives them Kameron so he could copy them down. Also we finally we get a point for being awake. Know were talking about when you get burned and what time of degree it is. Next Nakada starts talking about how we dont want to wake up on the first day of school. Everyone starts talking about how pony boy likes his eggs. Then Ms.Nakada tells jenny who stops by there house and she says darry put thats was wrong. Then Nakada asks a question and everyone didnt know the question. Alex comes in with a note and his pe close on. Ms.Nakada tells me how m doing on the blog and i said good then Jenny screams out come on Chris. We find out that Sandy is pregnat !!!!

Hey, it's Amore ~ this is my first blog. haha Ms. Nakada is talking about the reading journals. She's going to check them as we speak. Ms. Nakada is the best english teacher I've ever had. She's so nice ^_^ .. The class is looking at the projector writing down their English scores ! Roque just asked a weird question like really.. haha ohhh Roque :/ now Kaylah is walking by. She whispers to me you're doing good, Beautiful. I laughed. I was kind of angry when Saeed chose me to do the blog :( we were supposed to be friends lol but anyways Ms. Nakada is sitting on her stool helping Yvette. She asked Alberto if she can see his reading journal. Daniel is not doing anything. He's not working. He's sitting there talking and biting his nails >;C as usual!!! I am happy!!!  We all are it is T U E S D A Y , and we all know what that means ;) .. early day and it's Honey's birthday! She's not in this class but still. Today I'm exhausted and tired ............You wanna know something funny? Alex came in the class looking like a porcupine AHAHAHA xD #dead . Saeed is over there laughing at me but that's okay. I see how it is ! but I really think doing this blog was kinda fun. I have to admit I really enjoyed it. Ms. Nakada is explaing how to do notes. It's 1:17 and school's almost over.       Today I walked into class and I was tired because of playing basketball at lunch. First we had glue on the table and it was there to put a piece of paper in our journals for "Nothing Gold can Stay." I wrote the agenda down in my binder reminder. I didn't want to do this because I was tired, and I was about to fall asleep, but I tried to stay awake because I didn't want to get in trouble. The class talked a lot about "Nothing Gold Can Stay." After that they talked about alliteration and repetition. The poem part of The Outsiders was pretty good. I like the book The Outsiders because I like the characters especially Sodapop because he gets all the girls.  The class seemed to be irritated because Ms. Nakada kept telling them to turn back to their table of contents. Now it's time to pack up and I'm tired so I'm ready to leave, but that doesn't mean this class is boring. I'm just tired.

So, today was Friday and as always the homework for Ms. Nakadas class was to enjoy your weekend. Thank gawd cause I did not feel like adding something else to my agenda that involved work. ANYWAY today in class Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out their notes, and we talked about how Johnny went to buy suplies and he came back with bologna, peroxide, cigarettes, and soap. Then everyone started to read. So yeah right now I'm just sitting listening to them talk about the Outsiders, while I'm here sitting and trying to listen, and I thought it was gonna be fun, but I guess it's not as much fun as I expected. Why am I getting so off track? Don't ask me. I just have a short attention span. Hope you had a good day people of Ms. Nakadas class!!!

The Homework was to finish the Who Are You project by the end of class tomorrow.  While I'm Doing this Yvette kept bothering me to take a picture of her side for once, and Edward made fun of me a lot for doing this blog. So which ever girl I pick next make Sure to pick Edward Vargas. So he can know what it felt like to be in my shoes today. Ms. Nakada was reviewing the previous chapters of this book and writing questions for these cornell notes. I wanted to answer the questions so bad but I was too busy doing this blog. Ms. Nakada kept asking everyone can anyone relate to any characters and no one rose their hand. So she randomly chose Jennifer, Efren, and Amore. Jennifer didn't know who she related to and Ms. Nakada said she related to Pony, Efren said Johnny, and Amore said Cherry (I think). For some random reason Ms.Nakada pointed out Amore's hair looked like Pooka's. Ms. Nakada went around and Graded reading journals. Well I gotta go do work to. So bye.

Hey fellow classmates ! My name is Kaylah and this is my first blog so don't judge me I don't really know how to do this blog thingy but here it goes. The class started off with Victor's Blog. When Victor was done reading his blog, Ms. Nakada checked if anybody put up a comment and only one person did. It was Evette her comment was nice. Victor had to pick someone... So, he picked me (tear tear). Ms. Nakada went around to check if everybody did their reading journals. When she was done checking if everybody did the reading journal, she told the class to take out there notes from yesterday about The Outsiders. Our awesome teacher Ms. Nakada started to read some of the pages from The Outsiders. Oh yeah and you guys The Outsiders is such an amazing book I thought it would be boring but it really isn't! Ms. Nakada started to right a little big about the part where Johnny and Ponyboy were at the park and the Socs were coming, such a horrible part but interesting at the same time. Ms. Nakada told the class that they looked dead today and Justin responded and started to complain about him not eating and luch and that he's hungry. Then Roque started to say it was hot. If you ask me it's not really that hot. Ms.Nakada just explained this new assignment called I Am. Then the bell rang !

Hello 6th period and anybody else reading this. Well, the class first started off with Chloe reading her blog. After that she had to pick someone to do the blog, she didn't know who to pick so the class helped her and they picked me. So then Ms. Nakada asked if any of us had any comments for Chloe's blog. It was funny when Ms. Nakada said get your reading journals out for The Outsiders because everyone thought she was grading them today. I guess they didn't do there's. I thought that was funny. Then we got right to work. We started reading through the chapter together for anybody that didn't

finish or do there's last night. All I remember them going over is Soda's horse. I'm sure they were talking about more important stuff but I was so busy doing the blog I wasn't really paying attention that much. Then I started paying attention more then found out they were talking about Ponyboy and his gang taking two pretty girls home and so on and so on...

  p.s. I didn't know what I was doing so this might not make any sense.

           Hi, i'm Chloe. It's Monday, eh. Today we started off doing are regular notes, talking about what good readers do. Every one seems tired today, because almost no one likes Mondays. School is just starting to settle in, we have homework now... not too excited for that. We got a point today, so that's good news! Today we learned some new ways we could become better readers, such as reading in places that our minds can focus on the book. Now we are adding to our Outsiders notes. The Outsiders is a great book. I've read it twice and it's just as good the third time. I think the class will like it. We're talking about how Soda pop is handsome, how Darry is strict, and Pony boy is book smart. We read a little of chapter 2 and class is almost over, so everyone is getting a bit excited to leave. Time to pack up, bye!

My name is Alberto I am in 6 period . Today Ms.nakada is talking to the class about books we should read. The class is reading the Outsiders I think its a great book because it talks about instersing stuff.

I think almost the whole class likes this class because its the last class of the day.  YAY !

This week went by so fast but everday was awesome. Today is friday one of the best days of school which means no homework :D

3. What Do good readers do?

Hello. My name is Sandra but I like people to call me Yvette. Today the class was very chill, but it all changed when Ms. Nakada asked for the homework. :O!! As she was walking around asking for the homework, quite a lot of people DID NOT turn in their homework and that sucks because we didn't get any points. :( Period 3 so far has the most points. I just hope we can get 10 points because we'll get a party.

Now Ms. Nakada is talking about the book The Outsiders and describing each of the characters from the book. This book is mainly about a boy named..."Pony boy" :/ and his brother Soda. Ponyboy's parents died and it's sort of like an American Gang, two gangs actually: Socs and Greasers. Soda, is Ponyboy's best friend. Soda is more like a "Ladies Man" in the book ;) Ooh La la. But anyway Ponyboy said he loved Soda a lot, more than his parents, which is actually impossible to believe because I LOVE MY PARENTS. 

The homework for today was to read pages 19-36 in "The Outsiders" and write a summaary about it. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get points.

                                      THE CLASS PAYING GREAT ATTENTION TO THE TEACHER! :D

Ms. Nakada is talking about how nerdy she is cause she goes on Facebook and Instagram, face time, snap chat etc. Ms. Nakada, that isn't nerdy. You know how many students are just like you?! That just makes ALL of us nerdy. She asked the class if any of us go to the movies alone. I don't. That's wierd to me. I always go to the movies with someone or somtimes I go with Amore, but that's my opinion.

Reading Journal

It's the second day of school and my sixth period class came in, mostly on time... Everyone found their assigned seats and started writing down the agenda. We named our class blog which took a while but I think we came up with a pretty funny name. A couple of students passed out The Outsiders books and I took attendance. I collected  course outlines and ALMOST everyone turned theirs in, but one was missing so the class didn't earn a point, but I explained how if the class earns 10 points for perfection we get a reward like doughnuts or pizza.

Everyone put their chairs up and left for the day!
